Market Faxts Limited & Austarnet announce content deal
Market faxts Limited has recently signed an agreement for austarnet,
the dial up Internet service of leading convergence and pay-tv provider,
AUSTAR, to provide rural and regional Australia with online banking services
from its successful infochoice.com.au
website.
Under the agreement Infochoice will supply AUSTAR with content, data
and tables from its successful bankchoice website – covering the latest
rates, news and commentary about home loans, credit cards, business and
commercial loans and many other financial products and services.
The content will be featured in the Money section of austarnet’s popular
portal, www.austarnet.com.au.
Austar joins a range of other leading Internet players to sign agreements
with Market Faxts for all-important InfoChoice content supplies, including
OzEmail, Altavista, Quicken, ninemsn, the Australian Consumers’ Association,
News and John Fairfax’s drive.com.au.
Managing Director of Market Faxts, Mr Chris Gosselin, said "AUSTAR
is at the leading edge of providing content across a variety of platforms,
and we hope to extend our Infochoice content services further, as AUSTAR
expands its convergence technology offerings".
He added, "We are very excited to be playing a part in austarnet
as it continues to establish itself as a leading internet service in rural
and regional Australia. Our deal quickly follows a similar signing with
OzEmail, it is yet another endorsement of the high quality content we
are creating and our corporate strategy to become the leading infomediary
in Australia".
Ms Dana Strong, Managing Director Austar United Broadband, said the agreement
with Marketfaxts provides a timely and efficient means for AUSTAR to further
enhance its internet service offer.
“The agreement signals our ongoing commitment to the delivery of the
most relevant range of services across multiple delivery platforms to
rural and regional Australia,” she added.
Market Faxts is a pioneer in the Australian development of what is now
widely described as an infomediary – a trusted agent providing high quality
information and on-line purchasing from a range of suppliers.
Market Faxts is now operating this infomediary model under the net name
of infochoice.com.au, which provides comparative pricing and product information
on a wide range of finance and telecommunications products – linking businesses
with consumers online.
