Market faxts signs strategic content alliance with News Interactive
Market faxts Limited has signed a strategic content alliance with News
Interactive for the provision of content from its InfoChoice and inFARMation
web sites to a wide range News’ websites, including its flagship www.news.com.au.
News Interactive, the online division of News Limited, Australia’s largest
newspaper publisher, will actively use Market faxts’ information, content
and comparison tables on home loans, airfares, stockbroking services and
banking, for use across the media group’s sites and e-commerce activities.
News Interactive Managing Director, Patrice McAree said, “Our core
strength is news. Through our partnership with Market faxts we can extend
that offering to our readers on our sites. For example, as well as reading
the best stories and commentary on interest rates from our stable of newspapers,
our readers are able to check today’s rates from all major lenders through
an independent and impartial source, all without leaving news.com.au.”
The News Interactive alliance follows Market faxts’ recent distribution
agreement with leading online investor community, HotCopper, where Market
faxts provides the latest information and deals from its specialist Brokerchoice
and MarginLendingChoice online services.
Market faxts has also recently signed content deals with OzEmail, Austarnet
and the Australian Consumers’ Association and currently distributes content
to Quicken, ninemsn, SheSaid and John Fairfax’s drive.com.au.
Managing Director of Market faxts, Mr Chris Gosselin, said “We see
the News Interactive alliance as another milestone in the development
of our information and low risk business model, where we provide unbiased
content for the leading web sites and achieve strong traffic and revenue s
flows as a result”.
Market faxts is a pioneer in the Australian development of what is now
widely described as an infomediary – a trusted agent providing high quality information
and on-line purchasing from a range of suppliers.
The company is now operating this infomediary model under the net name
of infochoice.com.au, which provides comparative pricing and product information
on a wide range of finance and telecommunications products – linking businesses
with consumers online.
Market faxts Ltd is expected to change its name to Infochoice Ltd at
the company’s annual general meeting on November 30, to reflect the company’s
strategy to become Australia’s leading “infomediary”.
